1.) What is the advantage to buying a polyethylene bin rather than a steel bin?
A.) There are numerours advantages of buying a polyethylene bin. A few advatanges are that there is a visible content level, the flow of grain is uniform, the material is corrosion free, the parts are molded seamlessly for efficient set up and one piece moulding resutls in greater strenght.
2.) Will the bin split, crack or peel?
A.) The bins are manufactured from high grade virgin polyethylene and are processed by rotational moulding for extra strong, stress free components.
3.) Will the sunlight break down the quality of the feed or grain stored in the tank?
A.) The polyethylene material used in these bins contains ultra violet inhibitors to prevent sunlight breakdown in any form.
4.) Will the sunlight soften the plastic over a period of time?
A.) The plastic is manufactured in 3/8" thickness to reduce the effects of sunlight or cold temperatures.
5.) What sizes are available?
A.) We currently manufacture sizes: 0.68 tons to 14.1 tons for the most popular feed system applications.
6.) Will my feed spoil or get moldy like it does in my steel bins?
A.) NO, it will not!! The special resins and thermal protection all but eliminates sweating which occurs in metal bins. There will be no moisture to start the rot and mildewing of your feed. This point alone reduces the risk of infection and disease in herds and flocks - let alone the cost of spoiled feed which is thrown away!
7.) What warranty do you provide on these bins? What is the procedure for claiming a warranty?
A.) The warranty provided is ten years on the tank unit and one year on parts and accessories. To make a warranty claim simply return the faulty part to an authorized Poly Bins dealer, for adjustments or replacements.
